Sealed bids for the refurbishment of Concord Fire Department's Engine 8 were publicly opened and read aloud Monday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. in the Select Board Hearing Room at 22 Monument Square.
The town is seeking a contractor to refurbish its 2016 E-One Typhoon Pumper, designated Engine 8 in the department's fleet. As we reported July 17, the invitation for bids was issued under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, Section 5. Bidders submitted sealed proposals to Procurement Manager Amanda Moore at the Town Clerk's Office by the 11 a.m. deadline.
The town plans to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, according to the IFB posted on Concord Bridge. The names of bidders and proposed prices have not been publicly released, and no timeline for the contract award has been announced.
