Concord police officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 2, fallen trees that knocked out power lines, loose dogs, wildlife concerns and multiple suspicious activity checks during the week of July 15–21, 2026, according to the department's dispatch log as summarized by the Concord Bridge.

The most significant call came July 20, when a crash at Route 2 and Baker Avenue Extension brought Concord police, Concord Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police to the scene. The incident was described as a rollover in the log summary, though the department's own post characterized it as a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash.

Officers also handled calls for fallen trees that damaged power lines, requiring coordination with Concord Municipal Light Plant. Utility issues involving both the light plant and Concord Public Works appeared in the log during the same stretch.

Several suspicious activity checks kept officers busy through the week. Most proved harmless, according to the log summary published Aug. 5 by Concord Bridge reporter Kim Carpenter.

Loose dogs and wildlife concerns rounded out the call volume.

The week also coincided with heavy road construction across town. Spencer Brook Road closed to through traffic Monday, July 20 for a culvert replacement by Kodiak Corporation, with local access maintained between Pope Road and the construction site. That project is expected to wrap up by Oct. 15. Maple Street work began July 15, Old Bedford Road milling started the same day and continued through the following week, and Bedford Street milling began July 21, according to town notices.
