Concord drivers should plan for road work at four locations starting Monday, Oct. 26, as the town's roadway contractor begins a week of paving, intersection construction and curb installation.

The busiest project is at the Old Bridge Road and Main Street intersection, where construction crews will set up, clear the site and install drainage on Monday, according to a road work advisory posted by Concord Public Works' Engineering Division. That intersection work continues every day through Friday, Oct. 30.

On College Road between Annursnac Road and Strawberry Hill Road, crews will lay a paving binder course on Monday. By Wednesday, Oct. 28, work shifts to raising utility structures on College Road, with possible berm and curb work on Wednesday and Thursday. Final paving of College Road could happen Friday if curb work wraps up on time.

Alcott Road gets new curbing on Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Wednesday.

Lanes End is scheduled for final paving on Thursday, Oct. 29.

The entire schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change. The advisory does not specify daily work hours or detour routes for any of the four sites.

The College Road, Hawthorne Road and Lanes End work is part of a broader reconstruction project that began in early October. An earlier town advisory for that project stated police officers or flaggers would be on site during work hours and that property access would be largely maintained, though short driveway delays were possible while equipment operated nearby.

The town noted that Concord school buses will do their best to navigate the work zones during the week.
