Concord-Carlisle’s boys soccer team fell 2-1 to Wayland in a Dual County League matchup Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The victory lifted Wayland to 10-3, according to MaxPreps. Concord-Carlisle will next face Acton-Boxborough on Thursday, Oct. 22, with kickoff listed for 4:30 p.m.

The Patriots had recently posted consecutive 5-0 victories over Newton South and Westford Academy. The Westford win came Oct. 15, according to a MaxPreps recap.

Earlier in October, Waltham handed Concord-Carlisle its first defeat of the season, winning 2-0 on Oct. 8. Waltham scored following a free kick about five minutes into the match and added a second-half penalty kick, the Concord Bridge reported.

Published records for Concord-Carlisle differ. MaxPreps lists the Patriots at 11-3-1 following the Wayland loss, while other reporting cited a 10-1-1 record entering the matchup.

The schedule also contains conflicting information about the rescheduled Lois Wells Memorial Kicks for Cancer game against Lincoln-Sudbury.

The event website lists the boys game for Oct. 17, but the related Mighty Moose fundraising page lists it for Saturday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m. Fans should confirm the date with the school before attending.

Kicks for Cancer began in 2007 and raises money for women’s cancer research, with a focus on early detection of ovarian cancer.
