Concord-Carlisle boys soccer rolled past Westford 5-0 on Thursday, Oct. 15, as three players scored their first varsity goals in a Dual County League win.

Co-captain Max Hepworth led the attack with two goals and an assist, according to a post by Concord-Carlisle High School Athletics. Max Chikkala, Aidan Cobbe and Max Booth each found the net for the first time at the varsity level.

The shutout improved the Patriots' record to 10-1-1.

Hepworth has led the CC offense all season. He scored in seven consecutive games earlier in the fall, according to the Concord Bridge, and tallied five goals in a single week during a September stretch that kept the Patriots unbeaten through their first eight games. In a Sept. 16 win over Cambridge Rindge & Latin, Hepworth scored early in the first half. Against Lincoln-Sudbury, he cut through the defense and fired a shot into the side netting to open the scoring in the 26th minute.

The defense has matched that production. CC has allowed just seven goals in 14 games this season, per MaxPreps. The Patriots posted three consecutive shutouts in late September and early October, including a 4-0 win over previously unbeaten Bishop Feehan on Oct. 1 and a 2-0 victory against Belmont on Oct. 3.

The Bishop Feehan game showcased the team's depth. Matan Yosefson opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, poking the ball over the goal line for his first varsity goal, according to the Concord Bridge. Burke Breimyer and Adrian Avini also scored. Peter Brown played through a wrist injury suffered during the match, heading away long balls to anchor the back line.

Against Belmont two days later, Breimyer and Hepworth each scored in the first half. The Patriots were missing three starters at kickoff and lost three more to injury during the game, yet held the clean sheet.

The three first-varsity-goal performances against Westford add scoring options beyond Hepworth, Breimyer and Rory Best.

CC is ranked No. 1 in Massachusetts North Division 1 and No. 4 statewide, per MaxPreps.

The Patriots host Wayland on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 4:30 p.m. at Concord-Carlisle High School. Wayland enters the matchup at 8-2 and ranked No. 2 in Massachusetts.
